What we’ll cover

Bike check

Before we do any riding we'll go over the main points to check on a bike before every ride. This is known as an "M" check and is a quick and methodical way of checking all the major parts of the bike before setting off.

Bike Setup

After giving our bikes a once over we'll discuss important bike setup points such as saddle height, tyre pressure, kit to carry.

Riding position

We’ll look at the key elements to a strong and adaptable riding position. We’ll look at how the body’s natural suspension; the elbows and knees, can be used to keep you silky smooth and out of trouble. We’ll experiment with body-weight positioning, practicing leaning and moving around on the bike and identifying the importance this holds gaining grip.

Cornering

Once we’re happy with positioning we’ll look at cornering technique, taking it back to basics and build up with a relaxed, confidence inspiring style that will have you finding grip in places you didn’t think possible.

Braking

Braking is so important and having the confidence to know when is the right time to brake and when you’ve got to “let it roll” is key in gaining confidence and efficiency with your riding.
